I’m Sick of Dieting…Show me a Better Way

by Michelle Bailen

You are a smart woman. You know a lot about food, like what you “should eat” and what you “shouldn’t eat.”
But even though you really want to be healthier and feel great in your body, some days it seems so hard that you want to give up and dive into a pint of Ben and Jerry’s and a bag of chips.
You feel doomed to struggle with your weight and body image for life.
Sometimes you wonder if something is wrong with you because you just can’t stick with your diet. If only you had more willpower and self-control you could get it right!
Do you have these thoughts, too?
I can totally relate. I experienced all of these feelings for over two decades. Each morning, I woke up determined to stick to my “diet plan” only to break it a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks later. I was so frustrated and disgusted with myself I almost completely gave up.
Worst of all, I was really scared…
Scared that I would always feel this way, but even more scared that my children were going to grow up hearing about mommy’s diets and body obsession. I needed to make a change.
And even though I was miserable from the daily caloric tally and the hours I endured on the treadmill, letting go of the struggle scary, too…I had dieted since I was a teenager and didn’t know another way!
What I discovered is that there’s a way to have a body you feel great in and ditch the dieting obsession. Much of what I discovered was counterintuitive to what I’d believed in for decades, but it worked.
I am so grateful that I finally made the decision to said goodbye to the dieting world. Not only for my personal sanity, but also for my children, and I want to let you know how you can too.
If you feel trapped in and endless cycle of dieting, obsessing over food, worrying about the number on the scale….let me show you a better way.
